This is a Cake!
Isn't that insane???
I stumbled upon this website by accident and it is incredible.
Sugar Coutures designer, Penny Stankiewics left her career as a film producer to make couture cakes.
I want my wedding cake to come from here!!

Luxe Bowling comes to HK
Lucky Strike Lanes, a retro-inspired "bowling lounge" opens in Hells Kitchen this weekend.
Swankier than its Chelsea Piers and Bowlmor counterparts, Lucky Strike offers a VIP lounge (pictured) with a movie screen, 4 lanes and leather couches in addition to its 22 regular lanes and pool tables.
They also have a full menu of drinks and carb-filled treats (Mac & Cheese bites sound like trouble!!)

New England in Soho
Ed's Lobster Bar in Soho brings the Cape to Manhattan. Specializing in Lobster varieties (the Lobster roll is a fav) they also offer a full raw bar including little neck clams and oysters.
The only downside is that they don't take reservations so peak times can be tricky.

Eerily Accurate Horoscopes
Susan Miller, queen of astrology, has recently come out with the perfect gift for ladies who are into their sign.
If you have both your and your girlfriend's date of birth (down to the minute!) you can order this relationship book that comes with an (optional) photo of the two of you and a message inscribed in the cover.
If committing to the book is too much for now...check out the free monthly and "matchmaker by sign"/compatability horoscopes at:
www.astrologyzone.com
FemmeND Tip:
*Ms Miller is FREAKISHLY accurate, if you read the book out loud with your lady try not to laugh hysterically at her predicted true-to-life faults (or at least be able to laugh at yours too!)

**This specific post doesn't have a lot to do with impressing the ladies...unless you want a reason to send a random, funny email...just hopefully not in an im stalking you type of way...
Trippy Thai Alice in Wonderland
The perfect place for a fun group outing, Planet Thai 212 also has reasonably priced delicious entrees and seasonal specials (pumpkin dumplings for fall...yummy)

OCT. dates-my fav!
It's almost that time again...I love love love anything to do with horror movies and halloween so October is my absolute favourite month to plan horrifyingly romantic evenings.
1) NYC's most ridiculous haunted house: NIGHTMARE is a must! Constructed in an old church on the lower east side, NIGHTMARE has 10 rooms designed using a poll of horror fans' worst fears. I went last year and seriously needed my inhaler afterward!
www.hauntedhousenyc.com 107 Suffolk St @ Rivington
tickets on sale soon!
2) For a shorter, less trauma-inducing experience try the Zombie Attack haunted tunnel in Central Park: free admission
Bethesda Tunnel (in front of Bethesda Fountain) Oct 24-25 only
3)As a follow up, or just a cozy night in, check out Jenna Jameson in Zombie Strippers!!*
FemmeND Tip: This is NOT an actual porn. When I marched into my local dirty dvd dealer in Aug to purchase it the clerks laughed at me for 20min and then told me it was in theatres. Oh well..the costumes are still great and these ladies can do some interesting tricks with everything from ping pong to pool balls...

ASK ME!
Dear FND,
Hello. I find you attractive. I like your tail. Also your hair looks pet-able. I was just wondering if you do any sort of Q and A. I mean, I know you have T&A (Hey-ooo!!!)but seriously...I hav a question. I am a gay, homosexual lesbian woman who is hosting a bachelorette dinner for a group of straighties. It will not be too wild but I need a place that has dinner and provides a good after dinner drinking environment as well. Thanks you for your advice. Love, a massive admirer
Hey cutie-
thats a tricky sitch...here's the thing. straight girls love being the center of attention-even if they say they dont want big deal made, they do! ESPECIALLY*but not limited to* bachelorettes, b-day girls, just married girls, recently divorced girls...
sooo I would recommend going somewhere where they will make a BIG fuss over her:
1) LIPS- draq queen bar in the w village. great drinks and entertaining show. Totes overpriced food though: 2 Bank Street (at Greenwich) www.lipsnyc.com
2) Jekyll & Hyde- funny theme restaraunt in greenwich village. waiters will sing to you and cause a scene....it creeped me out a bit but food and drinks were awesome 91 7th Ave south of christopher
3) Ellens Stardust Diner: 1950s themed restaraunt with drive in movie screens, ms subway pagent hall of fame and singing waitstaff 1659 Broadway @ 51st Street
Good luck ;)
Com-otica?

GREEN LADY
So much sexier than Cirque Du Soleil (also no kids are allowed! always a plus),
Speigeltent's Absinthe is in its 3rd season.
The show and music are incredible and the venue is small and with cozy seating.
Pier 17, South Street Seaport (212) 279-4200 Now-Nov 2.
FemmeND Tip*: the earlier show ends around midnight so if you are heading out for drinks afterward, check out west village bar the Dove. They serve absinthe and other yummy Parisian themed cocktails: 228 Thompson St New York, NY 10012
SUPER CUTE: NYC's indoor drive in is back!!
One of the best (though pricey) date spots in NYC shut down this spring but is now coming back permanently.
www.driveinnyc.com
DRV-IN allows you to book a private indoor vintage car with the movie of your choice. It's AMAZING! They give you a DVD of the movie and 2 t-shirts* .
FemmeNDTips
* dont wear the t-shirt at the same time as your date- unless its in bed
* bring your own refreshments b/c all they have is popcorn. Mini bottles of wine and snacks might be a good idea
